The client is one half of More Rice — a Bangkok-based label and record store that's been shaping the city's music scene for years. He knew exactly what he needed: a four-player setup that could hold his collection and handle serious sessions.

We built the booth in meranti solid wood with birch plywood for the structure. The frame got a black-painted finish — clean and understated against the warm wood surfaces. A custom decor panel was made for his Vestax PMC-25, fitted to sit flush and feel like part of the booth rather than something placed on top of it.

Two electric switches were added for all equipment, and a back panel with a wooden cube pattern in a decorative arrangement. Behind the mixer, a dedicated compartment keeps records on hold — close at hand without cluttering the playing surface.

Below the deck sits storage for 800 records. Built-in speaker stands for monitors were added on either side. As with everything we build, all cables are routed through the body and out of sight.

More Rice Records is one of our favourite spots in Bangkok. It felt right to build something for the people behind it.
